Academic Journal

What is the Academic Journal?

Founded by former GJCL President Claire Jiang 2024-2025, the Academic Journal hopes to encourage JCL members to explore the world of antiquity beyond the classroom and serves as a stepping-stone for high school authors and artists in their future endeavors in academia. More importantly, this publication aims to commemorate the Greco-Roman world and highlight student work often unseen at JCL conventions and events. Submissions can include, but are not limited to, written work from class, mentored research, literary reviews, literature (poetry, prose), essays, and artworks of any kind . There is no minimum word count or bounds on creativity. The only requirement is that your work MUST have a classical tie!  There are not too many opportunities to get humanities research published, so we hope you will consider submitting!
