The Marist chapter of the Junior Classical League hosted its 3rd annual Read-a-thon on October 13th at Marist. Last year's Read-a-thon was recognized at the NJCL convention for most creative community service.

From sun-up to sun-down, every member of Marist’s JCL participated in reading Vergil’s Aeneid without stopping. All $1,700+ raised from the Read-a-thon will be going to the Lost Boys of Sudan in order to help them fund their educational pursuits. The Lost Boys are a group of young orphaned refugees who escaped from their homeland to America.

The Marist chapter extends its maximas gratias to the over 200 in attendence.
